Windows XP introduced a new sorting technique which handles string of numbers as number and then sorts the files name. This Tweak will enable that sorting technique which is disabled by default.
Steps for applying this Tweak
- Open your Registry
- Go to one of the following location
- For changes to occur for current user
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer
- For change to occur for all users
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer
- Create or Modify if exists Dword value called "NoStrCmpLogical"
- set value as 0 to disable Or 1 to Enable this Tweak.
- restart windows or logout for setting to take effect.
