Specify the number of system pages

Operating system window 2000 \ XP \Me \ 2003
Category Memory Management

Defines the number of system page table entries that are reserved for mapping I/O buffers and other information into the system address space. Each system page table entry maps one page.

Operating System Windows 2000 / XP / 2003
  • Open your Registry
  • Go to Hkey_Local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
  • Create or Modify existing dword value called "PagedPoolSize "
  • set value accordingly
    • 0 This will allow system to set number of system pages
    • Else you can specify number of entries system page table
  • Restart  windows for setting to take effect.
