Hide Set program access and default page

Category control panel

Removes the Set Program Access and Defaults button from the Add or Remove Programs bar. As a result, users cannot view or change the associated page. The Set Program Access and Defaults button lets administrators specify default programs for certain activities, such as Web browsing or sending e-mail, as well as which programs are accessible from the Start menu, desktop, and other locations.

Steps for applying this Tweak

  • Open Your Registry
  • Go to one of the following location
    • For change to apply on current user
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Uninstall

    • For Change to apply on all user
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Uninstall

  • Create or modify dword called "NoChooseProgramsPage"
  • set value as 0 to disable or 1 to enable this tweak
  • restart or logout windows for setting to take effect.
