How to Traverse Registry

Traversing Registry Using Registry Editor is pretty simple. All You need to know is the registry path. For Example We want to reach to a destination called. Hkey_Local_machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate.

1. Firstly we will go to the hive called HKEY_Local_Machine
2. We will click the plus sign and go to key called software
3. Then we click on the plus sign against software and go to key called Microsoft
4. Then We will Click on the plus sign against Microsoft and go to key called Windows
5. Then we will click on the plus sign against windows and go to key called currenversion
6. Then We will Click on the plus sign against currentversion and go to key called WindowsUpdate

hence we have reach our destination. all The value of this key would be be found on right hand side.
