Disable Windows Key

This will allow you to Disable the function windows key. Function of windows key is to deactivate all open windows and pop up Start menu.

Operating System Windows 2000 / XP / 2003

Steps for applying this Tweak

• open registry
• Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout
• Create or Modify value called "Scancode Map"
• set the Value of "Scancode Map" key as

  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 5C E0 00 00 00 00

• exit Registry and Restart windows for Setting to Take effect

Delete Scancode Map value for Making windows key work normally
