Keyboards with a Windows key provide users with shortcuts to common shell features. For example, pressing the keyboard sequence Windows+R opens the Run dialog box; pressing Windows+E starts Windows Explorer. This tweak will disable these Windows+X shortcut keys
Steps for applying this Tweak
- Open your Registry
- Go to one of the following location
- For changes to occur for current user
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer
- For change to occur for all users
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer
- Create or Modify if exists Dword value called "NoWinKeys"
- set value as 0 to disable Or 1 to Enable this Tweak.
- restart windows or logout for setting to take effect.
