Remove Favorite from start menu

In start menu of your computer by default there is a "FAVORITES" link which contains links which you have added to favorite in internet explorer. By using this tweak you can remove "favorites" from your start menu

Steps for applying this Tweak

  • Open your registry
  • go to one of the following

    •  

    • For change to occur for current user
      • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer

    • For change to occur for all users
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer

  • Create or Modify existing dword value called "NoFavoritesMenu"
  • Set Data of this value as 0 to show  or 1 to hide favorites
  • restart or logout for setting to take effects
