Limits the network bandwidth that BITS uses for background transfers (this policy does not affect foreground transfers). Let you to specify the bandwidth limit in a perticular time slot. and Bandwidth to be used by BITS In normal hours.

registry repair

  • open Your registries
  • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\BITS
  • Create or modify follwing dwords values

    • EnableBITSMaxBandwidth for enabling This tweak
    • MaxBandwidthValidFrom For mentioning start time
    • MaxBandwidthValidTo For Mentioning Ending time
    • MaxTransferRateOffSchedule Limit in off schedule
    • MaxTransferRateOnSchedule Limit in scheduled time

  • Set The value accordingly,
    • EnableBITSMaxBandwidth 0 to disable Or 1 to enable this tweak
    • MaxBandwidthValidFrom Mention start hours
    • MaxBandwidthValidTo Mention ending hours
    • MaxTransferRateOffSchedule Mention Bandwidth limit
    • MaxTransferRateOnSchedule Mention Bandwidth limit in scheduled hours

  • Restart windows for setting to take effect.
