If you want to use IEEE 802.1x machine authentication, configure this tweak. If you enable this setting, it configures the Certificate Authority to be used on the client for authentication. To allow successful authentication, enable this setting and indicate the thumbprint or hash for your Certificate Authority.
Steps for applying this Tweak
- open Your registries
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Network Connections\8021X
- Create or modify existing String value called "8021XCARootHash"
- Set value as Hash code for your certificate authority
- Restart windows for setting to take effect.
