This tweak lets you configure how often a Distributed File System (DFS) client attempts to discover domain controllers on their network.By default, a DFS client attempts to discover domain controllers every 15 minutes. If you enable this tweak, you can configure how often a DFS client attempts to discover domain controllers. This value is specified in minutes.
Steps for applying this Tweak
- open Your registries
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\System\DFSClient
- Create or modify existing dword value called "DfsDcNameDelay"
- set the value as time in miutes
- Restart windows for setting to take effect
